Social Action and Advocacy
(Political Awareness & Involvement)
The Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. were vigilant in their pursuit of equality for all persons. The Women's Suffrage March in 1913 was just the beginning. The Chattanooga Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1941. We are a nonpartisan organization that recognizes the need for continual advocacy for the underrepresented populations. Every Action Is Social Action!

Take Action Now
Shirley Chisholm said it best, “You don’t make progress by standing on the sidelines whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas.” This committee is leading the charge to do what’s needed for those who do not have a voice. Advocacy is the passion that drives the work that is accomplished by this committee.
