Greetings Sorors, Friends, & Community Partners,

On behalf of the 230+ dynamic members of the Chattanooga Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, I welcome you to our official chapter website. We are delighted you have taken a few moments to connect with us and learn more about the chapter affectionately referred to as “CAC”.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit, nonpartisan organization comprised of a sisterhood of college-educated women. Our purpose is to provide impactful public service programming in local communities throughout the world. The local community for CAC’s programming is Hamilton County, TN.

Chattanooga Alumnae Chapter was chartered on May 24, 1941, by 14 dedicated and determined women who saw a gap in service to our community and wished to fill it. For more than 80 years, our chapter has remained faithful and committed to the ideals of our dear Sorority which are Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action.

My vision as president is The Year of DO:  Decently and in Order, which is how we will continue to conduct the business of Delta. Our programming is based on our Sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrusts:   Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Social Action, and Physical and Mental Health. Our signature programs include the Minority Health Fair, Delta Academy/Delta GEMS, and the triennial Jabberwock/Debutante Cotillion.

We invite you to visit this website frequently to stay abreast of these and other opportunities to connect and partner with us. You may also follow us on our Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram social media platforms. If you are a duly initiated member of our sorority, we invite you to join us at chapter meetings on the second Saturday of the month at 10:00 AM Eastern.

Yours in Service,

Domina Coleman Alford, Chapter President
